Schedule 2017

SoundBody Studio offers drop-in classes, pre-registered classes and workshops.
(Please note this is a fragrance-free studio, no scents)

It’s fun! It’s vocal improvisation and empowerment: claim your voice, learn to improvise, make up your own music, and did I mention fun? And it’s good for what ails you. It’s a great way to sing out despair, frustration, etc, and transform it through rhythm and time. All welcome.

Solstice/Equinox Vocal Workshops (2017)
Fall Equinox – Saturday September 23st (see details below)
Winter Solstice –  Sunday December 17th, location and time TBA

These workshops are designed to coincide with the changing seasons. Each one will have a special focus and include rituals that honour times of change and self care. We will be expressing our shifting emotional and physical bodies through journal work, movement and voice.  During part of this process we will be accompanied by a musician, who will provide us with an anchor for solo, partner and ensemble work

Fall Equinox SoundBody Vocal Workshop

 When: Saturday Sept 23rd, 2017

 Time: 1pm – 4pm

Fee: $40

Location: 6046/6038 Sooke Rd (next to Saseenos Elementary School)

Participants: 12

The Fall Equinox is a time of celebrating the harvest and enjoying the bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables. It is also when light and dark come into balance before our days begin to grow shorter and our energy starts to shift inward.

Come join facilitators Marjorie Baskerville and Nicole Lavoie for an afternoon of spontaneous vocal play and movement, as we celebrate the changing season and the gifts it has to offer us. In a safe and supportive environment we will explore the joy of creating music in the moment, while learning various musical skills and vocal techniques. No singing experience necessary.

Please bring a blanket, a snack (if desired), and a water bottle

To register and for more info contact Marjorie at 250-642-2325, email or Nicole at 250-857-7075, email
